Haywood Bordeaux, Jr.

May 28, 1930 - January 26, 2018

Haywood V. Bordeaux went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was born May 28, 1930, to Annie Woods Bordeaux and H.V. Bordeaux, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-seven years, Billie Jo Griggs Bordeaux; son, Haywood V. Bordeaux III and his wife, Lynne; daughter, Debbie Jo Frankland; grandchildren, James “Jimmy” Bordeaux and his wife, Wendy; Rusti Chapa and her husband, Gerald; and James M. Frankland, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ashton Frankland, Gabriel Frankland, Bryan Bordeaux, and Madison Chapa; brother, Tollie D. Bordeaux and his wife, Sue; sister, Margaret Adams and her husband, Jack; brother-in-law, W.M. Griggs and his wife, Celia; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy; and granddaughter, Sara.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeremy Huff, and his nurse, Penny and Dr. Maria Blahey, and her nurse, Tonya. A very special thank you to Laurin Morgan, Alicia Gaines, and the Texas Home Health Hospice staff for their care of our dad and the patience and compassion of helping us go through the loss of a loved one.

A memorial service for Mr. Bordeaux will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 369, Hamshire, Texas 77622; First Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 295, Nome, Texas 77629; or to Alzheimer’s Association, 700 North Street, Suite M., Beaumont, Texas 77701.

Deb -- I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I know how how hard it was on you and him both in his final time. Now he is at a comfortable peace and will always be there to watch over you.
