Hazel D. Hannah

February 5, 1939 - November 19, 2019

Hazel D. Hannah, 80, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks, Beaumont. She was born on February 5, 1939 to Annie Theresa Koenig and Oscar Lother Dieckow, in San Antonio. Hazel was a member of St. Pius X Ladies and she served in many of their ministries, where she made prayer shawls for those in need.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Sharon Marie Hannah.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Silvern Thomas “Tom” Hannah; brother, Richard Dieckow; and parents, Annie and Oscar Dieckow.

A Rosary for Mrs. Hannah will be recited at 10:30 a.m. with her Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2019, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont, Texas 77708.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Brookdale who took care of Hazel during her stay and last moments of her life. Thank you also to Trinity Hospice who made her comfortable during this time.

The Hannahs lived next to me in Bevil Oaks. The best people and neighbors anyone could ever want. I hated to see them move to Beaumont when they got older. Nice people !
