I.R. Bordages

I.R. “Buddy” Bordages, 95, of Hamshire, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born on June 12, 1923, in Beaumont, to Marie Bonnemaison Bordages and James Dennis Bordages.

Buddy was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. He was a longtime resident of the Hamshire area and a rancher. He was a real cowboy with a great sense of humor.

He is survived by wife, Marlene Butaud Bordages, of Hamshire; son, Michael Bordages, of Labelle; daughters, Teresa Hill and her husband Lee, of Beaumont; Mary Falgout and her husband Kent, of Port Arthur; Joan Bordages, of Hamshire; and sisters, Sr. Raphael Bordages, Sr. Marie Bordages, Sr. Emily Bordages, Sr. Frances Marie Bordages, and Loretta Gary; brother, Walter Bordages; grandchildren, Karen Halstead and her husband Michael, of Houston; Jessica Schexnayder and her husband Jason, of New Orleans; Jennifer Nantz and her fiancé Jason McNeely, of Kingwood; Evan Hill of Arizona; and Ellis Smith of Kingwood.

A gathering of Mr. Bordages’ family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
