James Greenwood

James Arthur Greenwood, 68, of Fred, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at Christus Hospital St, Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on July 1, 1949, in Silsbee, to Myrtle Judiene Bell Greenwood and Arthur Eugene Greenwood. James worked as a supervisor for Kirby and Louisiana Pacific and retired as owner operator of Greenwood Lawn Service.

Survivors include his children, Doot Greenwood and his wife, Christina, of Spurger; and Amy Johnson; Kim Spurlock and her husband, Jason, all of Fred; grandchildren, Gracie Greenwood, Della Greenwood, Faith Greenwood, all of Spurger, Jamie Johnson of Evadale, and Emma Spurlock and Sam Spurlock, both of Fred; sisters, Martha Gore of Silsbee and Paula Hicks of Spurger; and numerous nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matthew Johnson; and brother, Ricky Greenwood.

A gathering of Mr. Greenwood’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Turner Branch Cemetery, FM 1013, Spurger.
