James Harrington Jr.
James “Bubba” Harrington, Jr., 74, of Winnie, died Monday, July 16, 2018. He was born to Margaret Denison and James Herbert Harrington, Sr., in Liberty, on May 27, 1944.
Bubba loved anything that had to do with ranching. He owned Harrington Packing for eighteen years and later worked with Chambers County for fourteen years after selling his business.
He is survived by his wife, Mazie Harrington, of Winnie; daughter, Veronica Austin and her husband, Hank, of Winnie; grandchildren, Kalee Austin and Emma Austin; sisters, DeWayne, of Orange; Charolette Anderson and her husband, Dow, of Bridge City; and Peggy Lowery, of High Island; brother, Johnny Harrington and his wife, Trudy, of Orange.
James is preceded by his parents; and daughter, Kim Harrington.
A gathering of Mr. Harrington’s family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with his interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
Memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, Texas 77665.
