James Ray

James Ray, 64, of Lumberton, died Monday, November 27, 2017. He was born on July 6, 1953, in Anniston, Alabama, to Hazel Jones Ray and Roy Ray. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne.

Survivors include his children, Jennifer Bell and her husband, Dennis; Michelle Gainvors and her husband, Raymond; and Joey Ray; five grandchildren; brothers, Larry Ray and his wife, Connie; and Tommy Ray and his wife, Lynn; nephew, Jason Ray; significant other, Glenda Hampshire; adopted children, Jody Hampshire and his wife, Tommye; Cody Hampshire and his wife, Deanna; and Tisha Gardner and her husband, Dillon; and adopted grandchildren, Trinity Gardner and Braxtin Hampshire. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James Ray, Jr.; daughter, Kristina Ray; and sister, Johnnie Ray.

James’ committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
