Jeanelle Street, 78, of Nederland, died Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born on October 27, 1939, in Nederland, to Evelyn Mae Wagner Arsement and Lionel Joseph Arsement. Jeanelle was a lifelong resident of Nederland, and a longtime educator for Nederland Independent School District.

Survivors include her daughter, Jan Fontenot of Nederland; son, Jim Street and his wife, Nell, of Nederland.

A gathering of Ms. Street’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 104 13th Street, Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
