    Lisa, Jerome, and John,

All these decades later, I still have fond memories of and occasionally dream about working at Fertitta’s Finer Foods on Park Street. Your dad and J.C. hired most of us Farinellas over the years. Honestly, I was always a little more afraid of Jerome than of J.C. or even Chief. But as I grew older, I realized your dad was just more reserved and quiet. With time I saw his warmth and gentleness. These come through in every photo of the tribute video…that special Jerome smile. It was the advertisement of all the kindness he would bring to whomever he met.

You all are in my thoughts during this time of so much grief.

So sorry for the loss of your father especially so close to the loss of your mother. I remember so well that feeling of being an “orphan “. The top generation. I absolutely believe to the core of my being that all is grace. Roger and I will pray for your healing. How blessed you all were to call Barbara and Jerome Mom and Dad. Their love for my family was gift and wonderful. Loved them so. They are happy and whole and in their promised place. To know Jerome and Barbara was to know a saint on earth. Love and prayers to the family.
