Jerry Wayne Kellum

June 13, 1945 - January 8, 2022

Jerry Wayne Kellum, 76, of Kountze, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born on June 13, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas, to Katie Bell Kellum and Marshall Bolton Kellum.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After coming home from the war, Jerry married Marian Chambless on January 25, 1980.

The most important things in Jerry’s life were his love for the Lord, his family, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife, Marian Kellum; children, EL Ryan of Kountze; Coti Matthews Wingate and her husband, William, of Fannett; and Jana Kellum of Kountze; grandchildren-, Halston Ryan, Colt Ryan, Anthony Salazar, Isabella Walters, Macy Matthews Linn, Hayden Matthews, Hope Oliphant, and Lane Oliphant; great-grandchildren, Melody Ryan, Presleigh Ryan, and Collins Cate Linn; brothers, Tommy Kellum and his wife, Linda, of Silsbee and Charles Kellum and his wife, Elaine, of Kountze; sister, Sharon Overstreet of Kountze; sister-n-law, Linda Kellum of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Kellum; brother-n-law, Tommy Overstreet; and son-n-law, Justin Matthews.

A gathering of Mr. Kellum’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His interment will follow at Daniels Cemetery, Kountze.  Please observe social distancing guidelines.
