J'Juana Jeanelle Hester

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, J’Juana Jeanelle Hester, 59, of Buna gained her wings due to past medical conditions.  She was born on April 14, 1961, in Kirbyville, to Glenda Stanley-Dyson and Gene Dyson.

Those who will cherish her memories the most include her husband, Billy Ray Hester; children, Mandy Hester of Buna; Cody Hester of Milo, Maine; and Carla Babington and her husband, Ronnie, of Buna; grandchild, River Raelynn Babington; brothers, Steve Dyson and his wife, Nancy; and Matthew Shuman and his wife, Debbie; sisters, Candi Stanley and her husband, Guy, III; Lagena Stark; and Lillie Hutto and her husband, Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Edwin Stark.

J’Juana’s family wanted to share the following: “She always had a smile on her face and was the type of person we wanted around when facing our darkest moments. Her strong beliefs and love for our Lord Jesus Christ were often expressed with the kindest and most loving of words. This love would leave an impact on those she met and will continue to shape our lives for the better. One of her greatest wishes was that we all live our lives with compassion, love, and forgiveness.” J’Juana was also a fan of music, hunting, camping and loved the show “M.A.S.H”. 

A gathering of Mrs. Hester’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
