John Dung Van Dang

February 20, 1950 - July 26, 2022

John Dung Van Dang, 72, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

John Dung Van Dang immigrated to America in 1975. He worked on a shrimp boat, a skill that many Vietnamese immigrants had and brought along from Vietnam. He continued his American Dream by obtaining his US Citizenship and then opening a convenience store in Beaumont, Texas, in 1990.  He retired in 2021 from the business and enjoyed his time traveling with family and relaxing at home and watching his Sports programs. He enjoyed watching Soccer, Football, Rugby, and Wrestling! He would never miss a wrestling match, from WWE, WCW, NWA, AWW, or ROH, if it was on, you would have seen him glued to the TV.  He is survived by an extensive family of siblings, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Dang’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A second gathering will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Broussard’s.
