John Truman Henry

John Truman Henry was born February 12, 1946, in Church Point, Louisiana. He resided in Beaumont for most of his life and passed away March 24, 2023, at College Street Healthcare Center in Beaumont.

He enjoyed outdoors, fishing, crabbing, cooking, Bingo and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Henry;  sons, Johnny Odom, Jean Pierre Henry, and J.T. Henry II; daughter, Denise Hanson and her husband, Brannon Hanson; nine grandchildren, TJ Henry III, Ashley Henry, Alaina Leger, Jon J., Pierre Henry, Jr., Julia Odom, Axel Odom, Breanna Hanson, and Brannon Hanson, Jr.; four brothers, Pete Henry and his wife, Linda, Frank Henry, David Wayne Henry, and Robert Dale Henry; five sisters, Betty Gordon and her husband, Bob, Jackie Landry and her husband, Keith, Priscilla Falcon, Jeanette Breaux, and Patsy; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elta Comeaux; father, David Henry; brother, James “Poose” Henry, Sr.; and granddaughter, Alicia Henry.

A gathering of Mr. Henry’s family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at China Cemetery, 463 Benoit Avenue, China, with Reverend Polycarp Otieno of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church presiding. Serving as pallbearers will be Pierre Henry, J.T. Henry, Johnny Odom, Brannon Hanson, Brannon Hanson, Jr.
