John White, Sr.

John Wayne White, 89, of Boerne, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2023, at Cibolo House Memory Care, Boerne.

John was born June 24, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to James and Cecile White. He worked for Mobil Oil for 25 years. He lived in the Beaumont area for over 30 years. John never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was always known for his incredible full head of hair that he still had which earned him the nickname Silver Fox.

John is survived by his children, Patricia Urban and her husband, Rick, of Fair Oaks; John White, Jr. and his wife, Becky, of Vidor; and Samantha Hudson of Boerne; grandchildren, Penni Chambers and her husband, Scott;  Joshua White; Judge White; Tyler Hudson; Jamie Morlan and her husband, Bowen; Taylor Hudson and her fiancé, Christian Riorden; and  great-grandchildren, Julius White, Fallyn White, River Hudson, and Aspen White.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Harriett White and his grandson, Jeffrey Hudson.

The family would like to thank the wonderful, kind, and caring staff of Morningside Ministries for taking such wonderful care of their father.

A gathering of Mr. White’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
