Johnnie Presley

Johnnie Lindsey Presley, Sr, 86, died Saturday, September 22, 2018. He was born on February 1, 1932, in Sour Lake, to Bonnie Bell Davis and William Brack Presley. Johnnie served in the National Guard and later he retired from Sun Oil Company-Maintenance.

Family left to cherish his memory: his children, John Presley, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; Carl Presley; and Dennis Presley and his wife, Sarah, all of Kountze; Eric Presley and his wife, Miranda, of Woodville and Becky Kilcrease and her husband, Darrell, of Lumberton; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil Presley, Robert Presley, and Junior Presley; and sisters, Alberta Fillingim, Roberta Griffin, Ila P. Griffin, and Patsy M. Fore.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Kenedy Nursing Home.

A gathering of Mr. Presley’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Old Hardin Road, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
