Joseph “Fred” Daigle

Joseph “Fred” Daigle, 84, of Hamshire, died Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Arboretum of Winnie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 19, 1939, in Church Point, Louisiana, to Zoe Carriere Daigle and Alfred Daigle.

He will be remembered for his work ethic and his kind heart. He will forever remain a loving husband, father, and Pop.

Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Gilbert and husband, Bryon of Lafayette, Louisiana; son, Chris Daigle of Hamshire; daughter-in-law, Suggie Daigle of Hamshire; grandchildren, Alana Thibodeaux, Jarrah Hatcher, Hagan Daigle, Kelby Daigle, and Hannah Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Macie Collins, Lexie Collins, Braylon Robb, Kaden Daigle, Hayes Daigle, and Savvie Hatcher; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of over thirty years, Relma Daigle; son, Freddie Daigle; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mr. Daigle’s cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
