Kay Frances Kelley
October 18, 1942 - August 27, 2023
Kay Frances Kelley, 80, of Village Mills, died Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas, St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on October 18, 1942, to Neomi Lancaster Scarborough and M.C. Scarborough, in Beaumont. Kay retired as a teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Hoy W. Kelley; children, Hoy Kelley of Flower Mound and Kristy Kelley of Dallas; grandchildren, Hoy Kelley and Molly Kelley; and sister, Dorothy Craus of Grapevine.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mason Scarborough.
Mrs. Kelley’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
We will alway remember Kay for her beauty and engaging ways, that lovely smile, and I’m sure the caring matriarch of the Kelly family. Please, accept our heartfelt condolences during this time. We will miss her.

I knew Kay from the time she was a little girl and was friends with her older siblings. It was a wonderful day for our family when my brother, Hoy and Kay grew up and married. She was always a happy addition to our family. We are going to miss her joy of living attitude and her wonderful laugh. Special prayers for Hoy, children Hoy M., Kristy, and grandkids, Hoy and Molly. Kelley Family, I was a classmate of Kay’s many years ago. I moved from Beaumont during our senior year, but I will always remember Kay. She was so cheerful, smart, and enthusiastic about life. Kay captured the epitome of the typical teen of the 1950’s and ’60’s. It saddens me to know of her passing, but she will be in God’s loving care as will all of us who are left mourning. Janell A.
