Kim Suzanne-Rienstra Ronning

June 17, 1956 - April 18, 2024

Kim Suzanne-Rienstra Ronning, 67, of Nederland, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 17, 1956, in Port Arthur, to Catharina Petronella DeRuiter-Rienstra and Jan Gatze Rienstra ll.

She graduated from Nederland High School in 1974 and served in the Air Force for four years. Kim loved the beach, cooking and baking, plants, a good margarita, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by Aaron Ronning, Eric and Kirsti Ronning, Kyra and Luke Day, Trey and Brenda Rienstra, Sharon Pullin, Tymbre Gack, and many grandchildren. Many other loved ones including Austin Ronning, Reid and Evyn Ronning, Kaitlyn, Colby, and Emmi Potter, Keegan Day, and several extended family and close friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Ronning of thirty-one years, and parents, Jan and Caty Rienstra.

A memorial service for Mrs. Ronning will begin at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Lamplighter Baptist Church, 2330 8th Street, Port Neches. Mrs. Ronning’s cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Ronning’s honor may be made to Lamplighter Baptist Church, 2330 8th Street, Port Neches, Texas 77651.
