Kimberly Nicole Huckabee
Kimberly Nicole Huckabee, 41, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was born on March 29, 1981, in Beaumont, to Nancy Tinkle Huckabee and Larry Steven Huckabee.
Kimberly’s family was everything in life to her, especially her son, Jacob. The other most important thing was her job as an EMT. She started volunteering at the age of 16 and never looked back. She would often work a full shift on her job and then run calls with the local VFD.
She touched the lives of so many people, and you were blessed to know her because of her caring nature, kind soul, and genuine smile. She never met a stranger, and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son, Jacob Daniel Bastian of Beaumont; parents, Larry and Nancy Huckabee of Sour Lake; brother, Steven Huckabee and his wife, Candice, of Sour Lake; nieces and nephews, Kaitlin McKinney, Dalton Jones, Peyton Jones, Kyle Huckabee and her faithful service dog, Libby.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Genevieve Huckabee and Delbert and Robbie Kilpatrick, all of Beaumont.
A gathering of Kimberly’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

I only just saw this today and I sent Portia the news. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Kim was always a good friend to Portia. I remember her well as a young girl. We always enjoyed the time she spent with us. Hopefully she found my Katie in the heavens. Prayers to your family.
I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Kim at Baystar. She was always with a smile and on the go for the whole shift. May she be in peace. My condolences to her family and those of us who also called her friend.

I will never forget when I met Kim, I thought she was a shy little emt pulling a overtime shift with me. In that 12 hours started a friendship I will cherish from now on. She was a breathe of fresh air, a young fairly new emt and me a older grumpier paramedic nearing the end of my career. Kim turned out to be way more than a partner on a ambulance. She turned out to be a friend and a younger sister. Kim was one of the strongest people I ever met. I will definitely miss our chats. I love you Kim.
Kimberly you will be missed
I will miss this angel. We texted often. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Fly high baby what a beautiful angel u will be. Watch over everyone. Rest easy
I remember the first Christmas at Robbie and Delbert’s.
Cookie always has the children neat and tidy but Christmas day Kim’s little apple cheeks glowed after scrubbing and kisses.
I never saw her without a smile and always had hugs for everyone. Of course Santa was good to the little girl who was kind to everyone and loved by all.
Kim, you are loved and missed.
Fly with the angels.

I worked with Kim at Baystar EMS back in the 2000s. We spent the longest day ever together helping evacuate hospitals, and nursing homes during hurricane Rita. She never lost her smile and was the sweetest person I ever met.
