Laura “Mrs. L.B.” West

Laura “Mrs. L.B.” West, 95, of China, died Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1928, in China, to Amy Hebert Jannise and Albert Jannise.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas Wayne West and his wife, Mary, of Conroe; Roger Lee West and his wife, Tommie Sue, of China; Terry Lynn West of China; Donald West and his wife, Jeretta, of Fredericksburg; and Ronald West and his wife, Paula, of Groesbeck; grandchildren, Christina Lynn Gallier and her husband, Mike, of Mauriceville; Amy Burrier and her husband, Josh, of Fredericksburg; Erin Tipps and her husband, Alex, of San Antonio; Landon West of Fredericksburg; Kayla Dobiyanski and her husband, Brian, of Prosper; and Shelby Bender and her husband, Logan, of Magnolia; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Burrier of Fredericksburg; Brenden and Kelby Gallier of Mauriceville; Kayden and Janson Dobiyanski of Prosper; and Sutton, Branton, and Memphis Tipps of San Antonio; cousin, Gracie Forrest of Highlands; nieces, Barbara Langlois, Ann Crain, Mildred Pulliam, Irma Moodt, and Pam Provost; and nephews, Larry Jannise, Rex West, and Jimmy West.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, L.B. West; brothers, Clifton Jannise, Melvin Jannise, Adam Jannise, and Dalbert Jannise; sister, Eula Mae Weaver; nieces, Nora Weaver Smith and Velma Martin; and grandchild, Kelby West.

A gathering of Mrs. West’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 West Highway 90, China. Her interment will follow at China Cemetery.
