Lillian Mueller

Lillian Jordan Mueller, 83, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on August 29, 1934, to Gertie Smith and Jessie Watson Jordan, in Port Arthur. She was married to the love of her life for sixty years. Lillian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for sixty years and served in many capacities.

She loved to sing in the church choir. Her, and her beloved Willie started a program in the church called “Twice Fed”, where she fed the people spiritually by showing a Christian video, and then Willie cooked and fed sometimes close to fifty people. They continued this service that they both loved dearly for more than seventeen years until her illness. She loved being a wife to her best friend. Being a homemaker meant the world to her and to be able to travel with Willie to numerous places for his work. She loved baking, painting, woodworking, carving, and working on her photo albums from their many travels after retiring. Lillian was happy and felt blessed as long as she was by Willie’s side.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Mueller, of Beaumont; siblings, Frankie Johnson, of Lumberton; Jeanette Sterling and her husband, Ronnie, of Beaumont; Bill Jordan and his wife, Janie, of Hamshire; and Lenoire Laviolette, of Huntsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Gertie Jordan; brothers, John and Roy Jordan; and sister, Donna Jordan Roquemore.

A gathering of Mrs. Mueller’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2955 South Major Drive, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2955 South Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77707.

I REMEMBER LILLIAN VERY WELL WHEN WE SERVED MANY PEOPLE AS MEMBERS OF THE LUTHERAN BROTHERHOOD. SHE IS A VERY DEVOUT CHRISTIAN. MANY THE LORD CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER WILLIE.
