Lloyd Edwards
Lloyd Edwards, 58, of Kountze, died Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born on February 5, 1965, in Harris County, to Bonnie Gayle Donaldson and Charles Edwards.
Lloyd retired from TDCJ after many years of service in prisoner transport. He was a proud United States Navy veteran. Lloyd will be remembered for his love of animals and his willingness to help others. He could make friends very easily and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan Edwards of Orange; parents, Charles and Bonnie Edwards of Lumberton; sister, Rita Edwards of Lumberton; and brother, Jason Edwards of Boerne.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over fifteen years, Melody Edwards.
Cremation arrangements for Mr. Edwards were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
So sorry to see that Lloyd left us so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. We worked together for many years and we’re friends. We stayed in touch with each other after we both retired from the State of Texas. We usually spoke a couple of times each month. The last time I spoke to him was February 23, 2023. I text him today and he did not respond, so I called him and he did not answer. I knew that was not like him, so I thought to look online and discovered he was no longer with us. I will miss Lloyd very much and miss our conversations. He was a good man and I know he is in a much better place now. I will see him again.
