Loraine Rita Hebert

Loraine Rita Hebert, 84, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1938, to Rita Thibideaux LeBlanc and Cosby LeBlanc, in Mermentau, Louisiana.

Loraine enjoyed working puzzles and cooking up delicious meals at home, especially her gumbo. She loved being a teacher’s aide for more than 25 years. Loraine would give her last piece of bread to a stranger in need. She loved her grandkids that called her Granny. She enjoyed music of all kinds but especially praise and worship and Hillsong.

Survivors include her children, Chad Melancon and his wife, Beth, of Groves and LeeAnn Villarreal and her husband, Juan, of Fannett; grandchildren, Ryan Melancon and his wife, Katie, Hannah Snyder, Jacob Melancon, Caleb Villarreal, and Callee Villarreal; great-grandson, Landon Melancon; and brother, Ronald LeBlanc and his wife, Karen, of Port Neches.

A gathering of Ms. Hebert’s family and friends will begin at 10:30 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
