Lynda Carol Bobino

January 25, 1943 - March 4, 2024

Lynda Carol Bobino, 81, of High Island, died Monday, March 4, 2024. She was born on January 25, 1943, to Lottie Marie and Lee Roy Turner.

Lynda loved doing anything outside, including gardening and fishing. Anyone was welcome at her home at any time. She enjoyed dancing in her early years but recently she has been enjoying word searches and jigsaw puzzles. She volunteered for most of the things that happened in High Island. If anyone ever needed anything, she was always available. She retired after 26 years of service from High Island I.S.D on May 31, 2003. Lynda was fondly known as the “Cafeteria Lady.”

Survivors include her son, Paul Bobino and his wife, Selina Hall, of High Island; sister, Mary Jo Bergeron and her husband, Dale, of Hamshire; niece, Candyce and her husband, Tommy Hopkins, of Carencro, Louisiana; nephew, Jacque and his wife, Jori Bergeron, of Hamshire; and numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, B.P. Bobino.

A gathering of Mrs. Bobino’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Dr, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at the High Island Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

    Sorry to hear about Lynda. My sincere condolences Paul Lynn.She will be missed by many. Every year I remember her being at the church helping to feed the people to come and see the birds.She was always helping someone. I enjoy talking to her and always ask about her.     This is a sad day for everyone who knew Lynda. She was one of the most loving people I know. I know that she certainly looked after me as a child. I will always cherish that memory of her.
