Margaret “Marge” Culloty

May 18, 1941 - April 8, 2022

Margaret “Marge” Ellen Branigan Culloty, 80, of Beaumont, died Friday, April 8, 2022. She was born on May 18, 1941, in Bay City, Michigan, to Loretta Winifred Forster and Thomas Howard Branigan.

Margaret retired from Beaumont Independent School District after 25 plus years of teaching. She was a teacher at  BISD Career and Technology Center. Marge was president of Beaumont Teachers Association from 1995 to 1999. However successful she was in her career she remained adamant that her life’s purpose was being the best mother to her three boys. Marge loved having fun with her children, grandchildren, and close friends, including Lois Snider, Dixie Deans, Doris McQueen, and Cynthia Stokes.

The family would like to give a special thanks and love to Ellie and Ann for all their support and love over the years.

Survivors include her sons, Brendan Culloty and his wife, Kelly; David Culloty and his wife, Jenny McClure; and Matthew Culloty and his wife, Stacey; grandchildren, Kourtney Brackin and her husband, Colby; William Culloty and his fiancée, Kailee Fitts; Ethan Culloty; Aidan Culloty; Mia Culloty; Jackson Culloty; Quinn Culloty; great-grandchildren, Amelia Brackin and Porter Brackin; sliblings, Kathy Branigan; Ellie Majchrzak; Ann Branigan; Bill Branigan; and Jim Branigan.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael “Mike” Branigan.

A celebration of Ms. Culloty’s life will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Luke’s, 2325 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Her Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
