Marion Clifton "Cliff" Ferguson

October 11, 1941 - May 17, 2020

Marion Clifton “Cliff” Ferguson, 78, of Groves, died Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was born October 11, 1941, in Port Arthur, to Flora Ava Porter Ferguson and Marion Elmer Ferguson.

Cliff was an outdoorsman that loved spending time at his deer camp. He also enjoyed old cars. One of his favorite things to do was to hang out with his friends at MacKenzie’s Pub in Beaumont. Most of all, he cherished time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons, Brian Ferguson and wife, Cindy, of Port Arthur and Kenneth Ferguson and wife, Roxanne, of Port Neches; daughter, Brenda Bauzon and husband, Jerry, of Austin; grandchildren, Kayla Dutton and husband, Joel; Kendall Rice and husband, Justin; Kyle Ferguson and fiancé, Alicen; Kelli Ferguson; Cadance Bauzon; Derick Laffoon; and Hunter Laffoon; great-grandchildren, Abner and Norah Dutton; and Kinley Grace Rice on the way; brothers, Kelton Ferguson and wife, Betty Sue, of Cypress and Milton Ferguson and wife, Mary, of New Braunfels; sweetheart of ten years, Patsy Caillier, of Buna; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Marion Ferguson.

A gathering of Mr. Ferguson’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2020, at First Christian Church, 5856 9th Avenue, Port Arthur. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
