Mark Stephen Lyles

December 29, 1962 - April 3, 2021

Mark was especially overjoyed with the birth of his granddaughter this past September. He had a great appreciation for music and was always the best partner for music trivia. He was an avid collector of many things, especially his Subarus. Mark enjoyed sitting on the porch smoking his pipe as well as ‘walking barefoot in St. Augustine.’ He also had a soft spot for animals, particularly rescues.

Mark is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Arlen Lyles, Jr.; grandparents, Ruth and J.C. Lyles and Edna and Clyde Stephens; and uncle, Larry Stephens.

This is so sad to hear. I remember Mark fondly from our years together in the NHS marching band. He was such a talented, funny, and kind classmate who will surely be missed by all who knew him. (Funny side note: I may or may not have in my scrapbook a piece of notebook paper with the name, "Susan Kay Lyles" written over and over....)
