Mark R. Hyland, 65, of League City, died Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born May 28, 1958, in Beaumont.

Mark graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Business. He was always a fun-loving, free-spirited guy who lived to fulfill his biggest dreams. He never let fear hold him back.

He was an intellectual and an entrepreneur, who by leading a blazing trail in real estate and his mortgage businesses, inspired the fellow entrepreneurs around him. He loved being near the beach, and always kept a special place in his heart for his beloved rottweilers, Lexi, Jade, and Bear. He enjoyed casino trips and hunting adventures with his good friends. He was a most loyal friend.

Survivors include his sister, Cindy Hyland Segura; uncle, George Hyland and wife, Linda; nieces, Ashley Nardiello and husband, Chris, Erin, and Jenna Gonzales; as well as multiple cousins and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Fred Hyland, Jr.; brother, Fred “Chip” Hyland III; and nieces, Lindsay Segura and Katrina Gonzales.

A gathering of Mr. Hyland’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His family and friends will gather afterwards at Dylan’s, 8601 9th Avenue, Port Arthur. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
