    Teresa, Joan, Mary and Michael,
My deepest sympathy and love to y’all for the loss of your mom. My thoughts and prayers have been with you these days.
Your mom…… (Mrs. Bordages), what I called her, is a loving mom, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be missed. When I think of her, I see her expressions on her face. Especially her eyes and that smile. I first met your mom at Seabreeze. This woman and her cooking …… no words can describe. Delicious! All the cowboys came out to help your dad work cows but I think it was for her good food too! She loved to cook and it was passed on to everyone that took a bite of her roast, rice, gravy and green beans. Mrs Bordages did not serve this food on paper plates and plastic forks. She served her food on real plates and silverware. She was a hard worker. Not only did she cook but she was a Gardner. Wayne and I moved to Seabreeze and I tried to plant flowering plants. Mrs Bordage with that smile and eyes told me they won’t grow. Stubborn as I am , I said “ I’m going to make them grow!” Well… she was right ! So, I decided to listen to her and talked plants with her. Lol! I learned what things I could plant! Just wanted to tell a few things that I cherished with your mom. Loved your mom and she will truly be missed. I know she is rejoicing , smiling in heaven, as she should be!!! Love y’all!

May GOD welcome Marlene, granting her salvation and an eternal life as a member of the Family of GOD, in Heaven. I met Marlene only a couple of times at a young age. My mother, Mary Catherine Buteaud, was her first cousin, as my gradfather, Agna Jack Buteaud, and her father, were brothers. We visited the Buteaud farm, in Henry, LA, many times. I have fond memories of riding in the horse drawn carriage, down the dirt roads around the farm. Being there was quite an adventure for us. May GOD bless Marlene and all of her family.
