Martha Kirkendall

Martha Susan Kirkendall, 61, of Silsbee, died Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born on July 11, 1956, in Liberty, to Betty Corine Largent Johnson and Walter Hiram Johnson.

Survivors include her children, Betty Greninger and Douglas Teston, both of Silsbee; grandchildren, Payton Moore, Breanna Wilburn, Steven Wilburn, Shaney Wilburn, Jordan Teston, Shaylynn Teston, and Austin Davenport; great-grandchildren, Kaiymynn Thompson, Izaeah Dickey, Atticus Callaway, Shane Wilburn, and on the way, Dillon Callaway, Jr.; mother, Betty Cherry of Kountze; and siblings, Virginia Black of Kountze; Sharon Cherry of Woodville; Walter Johnson and his wife, Theresa, of Alabama; Ricky Cherry of Dayton; Peggy Cherry and Rita Cherry, both of Washington; Ronnie Cherry, of Houston; and Jeff Cherry and his wife, Shanna, of Big Sandy. Martha is preceded in death by her father; son, Shane Teston; granddaughter, Shelby Teston; and brother, Micky Lynn Johnson.

A gathering of Mrs. Kirkendall’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee.
