Mary “Cathy” Caldwell
Mary Cathleen Caldwell was born on March 3, 1940, in Woodward, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully in her sleep after battling cancer on Monday, December 12, 2022.
Mary loved her extremely large family. If we listed everybody left, we could write a New York times best seller. She is survived by four living children (Dennis, Lawrence, Elizabeth, and James), eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and even met her first great-great grandchild.
Mary was kind, funny, and always held the family together. She was a retired receptionist. She was active with the Beaumont Police Department as a lifetime member of CPAA, a member of Embroiderers Guild of America, a member of Habitat for Humanity, a lifetime member of The National Home Gardening Club, a member of The Humane Society, and she also donated to a local rescue regularly named Sweet Pups. She was very talented in making all kinds of crafts and was very generous in making things for friends, family, and charity.
Her granddaughter, Kristin Johnson, is working on putting together a Celebration of Life. Details will be released when ready. To contact Kristin please call or text (409)659-4656.
Mrs. Caldwell’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
