Onalee Greer

Onalee Greer, 84, of Orange, died Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was born on July 11, 1937, in Colfax, Louisiana, to Elsie Bernice Roberts and Joe Cecil Stewart.

While in High School she a member of Bengal Guards and Bugle Core. Onalee was a member of First Baptist Church of Deweyville. She enjoyed reading, especially the reading the bible from start to finish, and eating out. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Stuart Greer and his wife, Angela; Donald Greer and his wife, Michelle; and Chris Greer and his wife, Melanie; sister, Lois Hogden and her husband, Fred; grandchildren, Farrell Greer, Sadie Greer, Paige Greer, Christopher Greer, Hannah Greer, Samuel Greer, Shai Brister and her husband, Danny, Chelsea Henry and her husband, Blade, Ashley Greer, Kristen Dyer, Callie Hutchinson, Caitlin McPherson; great-grandchildren, Stevie Brister, Danny Brister, Liv Henry, Danci Henry, Ava Ferguson, and Jordyn Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Tommie Jo Eubanks.

Memorial Contributions for Ms. Greer may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

A gathering of Ms. Greer’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 644 State Highway 272, Deweyville. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
