Richard Allen Hooks

Richard Allen Hooks, 56, of Spurger, died Tuesday, September 7, 2021.  He was born on January 20, 1965, in Woodville, to Dorothy Jo Lane Hooks and Celia Brooks Hooks, Jr.

Survivors include his children, Brandon Hooks of Spurger; Quentin Hooks and his wife, Lacey, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Kristen Bruton and her husband, Tyler, of Colmesneil; grandchildren, Kylie Hooks, Jaylynn Hooks, and Sophia Hooks; mother, Dorothy Hooks of Spurger; siblings, Maxey Hooks and his wife, Pat, of Greenville and Carl Hooks of Spurger; and nephew, Robert Callahan of Woodville.  He is preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of Richard’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery, Spurger.
