Robert Roy “Bobby” Templeton, 74, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was born on March 1, 1943, to Hazel Maxine Hall and Leroy Templeton, in Silsbee.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Elliott Templeton; sons, Stan Templeton of Smithville; Ben Templeton and his wife, P.K., of Dallas; and Ryan Elliott and his wife, Jayne, of North Hills, California; daughters, Gail Templeton of Austin; Amy Toon and her husband, Jeff, of Haslet and Alicia Peterson and her husband, Matthew, of McKinney; grandchildren, Jade Turner, Mica Turner, Riley June Templeton, Cassidy Wallen, Mackinzie Cantu, Hannah Toon, Joshua Toon, Elizabeth Toon, Sarah Toon, Abigail Toon, Morgan Peterson, Micah Peterson, and Walter Elliott; and sisters, Helen Bunte of Smithville, Gladys Bowers of Wichita Falls, and Ann Kendrick of Nederland.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, June Evelyn Caraway Templeton; and brother, Thomas Ray “Bo” Templeton.

A gathering of Mr. Templeton’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. An additional gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m. with his memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Beaumont’s First Baptist Church, 3739 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beaumont’s First Baptist Church, 3739 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713 or to a charity of one’s choice.
