Rodney Reynolds

George Rodney Reynolds, 96, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Sugarland. He was born April 30, 1925, in Purvis, Mississippi, to Hazel Pylant Reynolds and Grover Cleveland Reynolds. Rodney was a United States Army veteran that served during World War II. He worked at Neches Butane Company, Port Neches, for over thirty years. He was a faithful follower of Christ and a longtime member of Beaumont’s First Baptist Church.

Rodney is survived by his daughters, Sandra Reynolds Pinckard and her husband, Philip, of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Debbie Reynolds Shaw of Missouri City, Texas; son, Timothy Reynolds and his wife, Ginger, of Radcliff, Kentucky; grandchildren, Dale Shaw and his wife, Flor; Andrea Shaw; Douglas Reynolds; Matthew Pinckard and his wife, Amanda; and Megan Pinckard Foster and her husband, Adam; great-grandchildren, Bella Shaw, Emma Shaw, Ivy Pinckard, Asher Pinckard, and Phoenix Pinckard.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of sixty-two years, Myrtle Reynolds.

A gathering of Mr. Reynolds’ family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
