Ronald Clay Kolander

June 3, 1941 - May 13, 2021

Ronald Clay Kolander passed away Thursday morning, May 13, 2021. He was 79 years old. Ronnie and Cleffie met at the A&M Research Center where they both worked. They have been married fifty-seven years.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Cleffie Kolander; two sons, Rowland Brett and his wife, Tresea and Daniel Todd and his wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Delaney and Clay Kolander; Kevin and his wife, Brooke Manuel; and Kim Manuel; great-grandchildren, Madison Ducote, Caroline Manuel, and William Manuel; sister, Molly Sue Ridley; sisters-in-law, Lillian Kolander and Connie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family, Laura and Terry Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Laurence Kolander, Sr.; stepfather, Emmett Sherman; mother, Elizabeth Kolander Sherman; brothers, Gerald Wayne Kolander and John Laurence Kolander, Jr.

A gathering of Mr. Kolander’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at China United Methodist Church, 205 West Washington Avenue, China.
