Ronnie Lee Eastepp
Ronnie Lee Eastepp, age 76 of Bevil Oaks, Texas, died November 7, 2023. Ronnie was born January 28, 1947, in Crockett, Texas, the first of five children born to Oscar and Harriett Eastepp. After graduation from Groveton High School, Ron joined the US Air Force and spent his career in Viet Nam, Japan, England, Florida, California and Colorado. After retirement from the USAF, he worked various jobs that supported his love of bowling.
Ron had a much-loved son, Derek Carter Eastepp, who was born in 1973 and died in 2011. In 2009, Ron reconnected with Christy Gran, a girlfriend when he was a young military man stationed in Florida. Ron was the love of Christy’s life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lee and Harriett Eastepp and his son, Derek Carter Eastepp.
Survivors include wife, Christy Gran Eastepp; and her sons, Richard Watkins and Matthew Watkins; her daughter, Becky Lee; her grandson, Elias Watkins; and her granddaughters, Alisha Dahrouge, Ashley Thompson and Tala Watkins; brother, Vernon (Peggy) Eastepp; and sisters, Janice (Chris) Burkholder; Barbara Huitt (William Bess); and Rosaline (Steve) Takes. Ron had many good friends from his military days and from all of his bowling teams.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the East Prairie (Possum Walk) Cemetery in Trinity County. Lunch and visitation will be held at the family center on Eastepp Lane in Pennington after the burial. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

So sorry to hear about Ronnie. Met him when I was in high school and had just recently connected with him on Facebook. My prayers go out to the Eastepp family.
I’m so sorry to hear about Ronnie. We had connected on Facebook about a year ago and I enjoyed hearing about his travels. Talk about living everywhere. My condolences go out to all the Eastepp family. RIP Ronnie.
