Rosamond Washenfelder

Rosamond Ruth Washenfelder, 70, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born on February 17, 1947, in Casper, Wyoming, to Rosamond Sawyer Washenfelder and David Washenfelder, Sr.

Rosamond enjoyed helping others. She loved Broadway Musicals, and was an avid reader. Rosamond was a former member of American Business Women’s Association. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lake Arthur and Magnolia Manor nursing homes, Heart to Heart Hospice, Dr. McMahon, and Dr. Badlissi.

Survivors include her mother, Rosamond E. Washenfelder of Nederland; brothers, David Washenfelder, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Nederland and Robert Washenfelder and his wife, Debbie, of Jasper; sisters, Elizabeth Breaux and her husband, Cordell, of Tyler and Joan Sheehan and her husband, Michael, of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Washenfelder, Sr.; and brother, Leslie Washenfelder.

A graveside service for Ms. Washenfelder will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2017, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
