Ruby Clyon Nickelbur

Ruby Clyon Nickelbur, 62, of Fred, died Saturday, March 30, 2024.  She was born on March 9, 1962, in Houston, to Mildred Eason Tanton and Claude Jackson Tanton, Sr.

Ruby enjoyed riding Harley Davison motorcycles and having fun with her fur baby, Little Man.  Her favorite memories were of her children when they were all at home.. She would always say, “Never say goodbye, say later.”

Survivors include her children, Candy McGallion and her husband, Dewayne, of Fred; Tommy Holt, II and his wife, Brandy, of Alexander, Arkansas; and Tiffany Holt of Woodville; stepchildren, Threasa Rollans and Michael White, both of Alexander, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tammi McGallion, Kaylee McGallion, Cylee Holt, Natalie Purifoy, Kayla Potts, Kelsey Potts, Isom McGallion, Lance Holt, Logan Holt, Christopher Holt, and Landon Purifoy; five great-grandchildren; sister, Teresa Tanton of Fred; and brother, Claude Tanton, Jr. of Nebraska.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Claudia Tanton.

A gathering of Ruby’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Fred Community Cemetery, Fred.
