The family would like to mention and thank the countless family and friends who showed endless love and support throughout her life, especially over the past few years. Including, but not limited to Christina Tilley, Joyce Wood, Lela Whatley, Sue Cain, and lifelong friend Shirley Gordon. Ruby loved her family at Pinecrest Baptist Church of Silsbee, Texas. She took special interest in her Sunday school class and thoroughly enjoyed attending as many events as she was able.
Ruby worked at Silsbee Convalescent Center in the mid 70’s, which gave her an immense love and deep respect for her amazing hospice nurses from Olive Branch Hospice. Ruby was a faithful servant and devoted Christian. She looked forward to any opportunity she had to share her love for Christ and invite others to church. Ruby was a prayer warrior. She studied the scripture and read the entire Bible from cover to cover several times. She made sure to bring her grandchildren to church and provided them with a life filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of Jesus. Many sermons were preached to them and by them from the hearth of her fireplace or gathered around in the living room. She will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will include Keith Ruggles, Jr., Christopher Ruggles, Greg Johnson, Ty Smith, Garrie Wood, and Euger Deets.
A gathering of Mrs. Ruggles’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2024, at Pinecrest Baptist, 5660 FM 1122, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. If known and loved Ruby Ruggles many years when she attended Calvary Missionary Baptist Church! Every week we were on the road visiting as many contacts as we could make! Week after week! She was a witness for our Savior Jesus Christ! I’m so sorry I’ve been unable to visit her because of my husbands long battle with health and passing and my being unable to hardly get around!Sweet Ruby, you RIP til we see each other again!
