Sandra White
Sandra Poole White, of Lumberton, the most beautiful Earthly angel, joined the heavenly host on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Sandra was born on March 16, 1933, to Eartie Lee Ammons Poole and Arthur A. Poole, in Beaumont. She graduated from St. Anthony’s, worked as a secretary for an attorney and plumber while waiting for the love of her life to return from his service in the Korean War. They married, built a family of 6 within 5 years, and created memories to last a lifetime. Memories, all too vast to write in this short summary. In 1974, after caring for her mother, who succumbed to cancer, she took her talents of caring for others to Commission for the Blind and Levacy Eye Center, retiring in 1993. And recently, for many years, served others as she and her friend, Pat, delivered lunches through Meals on Wheels. She looked forward to spending time with her best friends, playing Pokeno and Mexican Train. Sandra was a devout member of the St. Pius Ladies and played many roles in supporting her church. But best of all, and greatest role of all, was being a mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Lynn White of Beaumont; daughters, Mary Beth Strickland and her husband, Larry, of Vidor and Sharon McDade Huff and her husband, George, of Houston; grandchildren, Amber Odom and her husband, Ben, of Lumberton; Holly Aber and her husband, Joel, of Virginia; Wesley Strickland of Vidor; Theresa Boucher and her husband, Malcolm, of Lumberton; Angela White of Virginia; Alexandria Salvaggio and her husband, Charlie, of Spring; Tom McDade of Austin; Karen McBride and her husband, Abel, of Loveland, Colorado; Brian Worthington; Heidi Worthington; Aaron White; and Timothy White, all of Beaumont; and; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Messina and her husband, Hunter, of Vidor, Adryanne Odom, Sophia Odom, and Benny Odom, all of Lumberton, Logan Aber, Kaleb Aber, and Gracelynn Aber, all of Virginia, Myla Wells and Knox Wells, both of Spring, and Sam Boucher, Kate Boucher, and Andrew Boucher, all of Lumberton; great-great-grandchild, Vivian Messina of Vidor; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Jesse Lynn White, Sr.; son, Timothy White; son-in-law, Tom McDade; daughter-in-law, Pat White; and grandsons, Quentin and Nicholas White; brother, Bryan Poole and sister-in-law, Virgie Poole; sister, LuEllen Toups and brother-in-law, John Toups; and brother, Jimmy Poole.

I was very priviledged to have known Sandra and Jesse as neighbors and friends. They were the most generous and caring people I have ever met. Sandra was such a beautiful person. My sincerest condolences to the family.
Mrs. Sandra White was the sweetest, kindest grandmother to walk the halls of Austin Middle School,. which she did regularly seeing after her grandsons, Quinton, Aaron, Timothy and Nicholas. My condolences to the family.
We lived across the street from the Whites when I was a small child. I have many fond memories of playing with her children and remember her lovely, soft voice. We ran into each other from time to time and she always looked the same! She was a kind and lovely lady.
Miss White, as I always called her growing up, was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She was like a second mom to me, as I was over their house all the time. She always made me feel welcome and fed me many times. I will never forget her kindness. Her love for Christ showed through everything she did. My heart breaks for her family. Sending hugs and prayers to all.
We are so sad to loose our beautiful wonderful kind neighbour. Heaven has certainly gained a beautiful angel. Sandra and Jesse immediately befriended us when we moved to the neighbourhood 20 years ago, we have always felt very blessed to have been their neighbours and friends. We are praying for peace and comfort for the family.
My family JA and Emily Sisk lived across the street from Sandra and family. I remember her as a real sweet lady. Sorry for your family’s loss and will be praying for you.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for her family as they mourn their loss. Sandra and I worked together for Dr. Levacy many years ago. She was one of the kindest people and truly a blessing to know. RIP Sandra.
My Dearest Texas Family,
May your hearts find solace and comfort in your faith, family, and friends, as Mom is making her journey a higher prayer. Requiescat in pace in aeternum ????????.
