Sherrell Ray Norwood

Sherrell Ray Norwood, 84, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Lafayette General Hospital, Lafayette, Louisiana. He was born on April 26, 1937, in Hondo, to Laura Bartley Norwood and Henry Norwood.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Patsy Norwood, of Beaumont; daughter, Audrey Pope, of Huntington; sons, Lloyd Norwood and his wife, Donna, of Smithville, Missouri; Brian Norwood and his wife, Lisa, of Beaumont; Rusty Norwood, of Tomball; and Jamie Norwood, of Beaumont; brother, Gerald Norwood, of Round Rock; sister, Nova Langner, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Lindsay Sachitano, of Lufkin; Chad Sachitano, of Lufkin; Kyle Norwood, of Kansas City; Curtis Norwood, of San Diego; Matthew Norwood, of Spring; Nick Norwood, of Tucson, Arizona; Will Norwood, of College Station; Alex Norwood, of Lubbock; Justin Norwood, of Tomball; and Kaci Norwood, of Houston; and great-grandchild, Stella Norwood, of San Diego.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley Renee Norwood.

A gathering of Mr. Norwood’s family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with his graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Giles Living Center, 7650 Park North Drive #2405, Beaumont, Texas 77708.
