Theresa Delores Folse

June 14, 1928 - February 27, 2024

Theresa Delores Folse, 95, of Beaumont, Texas, passed into eternal life Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks, Beaumont. She was born on June 14, 1928, to Alberta Moore Hensley and Elmer Trenton Hensley, in Houston.

Theresa’s family later relocated to Beaumont where she attended St. Anthony High School. She met her beloved husband, Russell John Folse, Sr., on a blind date and it was love at first sight for both of them. They were married six months later and shared a beautiful life together for over 70 years.

Theresa will be remembered most for her love of her family and her faith in Christ. She was employed by Stern Empire Dental Lab, Beaumont, for several years and enjoyed her job. But Theresa found her true calling as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted and deeply loved her great big family, starting with Russell and their six children. The family has continued to grow through the years, and nothing gave Theresa more joy than to have everyone gathered for food, family fun, and laughter. She could usually be found cooking something delicious in the kitchen to serve her family and if you came to her house, you always knew you would be well fed.

Theresa was often volunteering or working behind the scenes. She never drew attention to herself but would just show up if she thought someone was in need. She beautifully reflected the love of Christ through her generous and selfless acts of kindness.

Theresa was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption for many years and then joined St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church as their family moved from South Beaumont to the West End. She enjoyed being a member of the Women of St. Jude organization.

Survivors include her daughters, Janet Weaver of Houston and Terri Sticker and her husband, Maury, of Canyon Lake; son, Thomas Folse and his wife, Carla, of China; and daughter, Kim Richards and her husband, Jeff, of Edmond, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Beecher Adams of Bolivar Peninsula; grandchildren, Wesley Weaver; Jared Weaver and his wife, Brooke; Chris Folse and his wife, Bridget; Kelly Gallier and her husband, Raymond; Daniel Adams and his wife, Chelsea; Dana Smith and her husband, Ryne; Shelli Wilder and her wife, Andrea; Scott Sticker and his wife, Mimi; Rebekah Folse; Luke Folse; Payton Richards; and Trenton Richards; great-grandchildren, Thomas Weaver; Samuel Weaver; Addison Folse; Amber Tredway and her husband, Tony; Kara Conway and Taylor; Justin Conway and his wife, Makaela; Evangeline Adams; William Adams; Killian Wilder; Kai Sticker; and Ren Sticker; great-great-grandchildren, Leighton, Millie, and Braylon; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents; her sister; two brothers; husband, Russell John Folse, Sr.; daughter, Kathy Adams; and son, Russell “Rusty” Folse.

Theresa will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who knew and loved her.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving caregivers and staff at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks. They went above and beyond in caring for Theresa.
