Vickey Marie Comeaux

Vickey Marie Comeaux, 73, of Hamshire, died at home surrounded by family on December 24, 2020. She was born on September 16,1947, to Mary Louise Ayling and Elbert Wims Hawkins in Baytown.

She was a devoted mother who stayed home with the kids and she also owned and operated Comeaux’s Restaurant in Hamshire, she was devoted to her husband, kids, and grandkids. Vickey was one of a kind, she is a two-time cancer survivor and never gave up, she was a spit fire, always lending a helping hand, where she was needed, or being the one to listen to your problems and always knew what to say to make it better, she loved being with family and loved to fish and occasionally deer hunt with family.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Knoblock and husband, Earl, of Warren and Patty Norris and her husband, Chris, of Anahuac; son, Lonnie Comeaux of Freeport; grandchildren, Toshia Dubose and her husband, Lesley, of Kirbyville; Jason Reed of Houston; Josh Norris and his wife, Bee, of Louisiana; Jacob Knoblock and his wife, Dee, of Warren; Kinley McFarlin and her husband, Mason, of Vidor; and Jacy Norris of Anahuac; great-grandchildren, Emalee Reed, Ryleigh Gray, Ava Dubose, Sophia Norris, Gracie Knoblock, Jason McFarlin; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Comeaux; brother, Dennis Hawkins; her parents, grandparents, and nephew, Freddie Daigle; and uncle, Lexie “Red” Hopson.

A gathering of Mrs. Comeaux’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Hamshire, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie, under the direction Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
