William “Bill” Leavins

March 27, 1938 - February 11, 2024

William “Bill” Leavins, 85, of Lumberton, died Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1938, to Katie L. Hinson Leavins and William Chester Leavins, in Bonifay, Florida.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Leavins; daughters, Shannon Leavins and Billie Jo Loncon, both of Lumberton; grandchildren, Codi Mazzola and her husband, Mark, of LaPorte; and Sydney Loncon of Lumberton; great-grandchildren, Jace, Easton and Jenson Mazzola, all of LaPorte; and silbings, Rose Avery of Port Neches; Marion Taylor of Nederland; and James Leavins and his wife, Pansy, of DeQuincy, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

A gathering of Mr. Leavins family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
