William Tod Mixson

April 6, 1940 - March 13, 2024

William Tod Mixson, 83, of Orange, died Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Stonewood Senior Living, Orange. He was born on April 16, 1940, to Elizabeth Earle Adams Mixson and Sylvan Mixson, in Kirbyville, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his son, Max Mixson of Orange; daughter, Mae Elizabeth Carrizal and her husband, Shain, of Houston; stepchildren, Dawn  Keszeg Arredondo and her husband, Humberto, of Needville; Jeff Keszeg and his wife, Janet, of Maumelle, Arkansas; Lori Keszeg Ess and her husband, David, of Bridge City; and Rick Keszeg of DeQuincy, Louisiana; grandchildren, Zachary Carrizal, Lizzie Carrizal; Brandon Keszeg; Johnathan Keszeg and his wife, Lauren; K’Lynn Borg and her husband, Braden; Tyler Keszeg; Ryan Keszeg; Zack Keszeg; and Kember Ess; great-grandchildren, Eastynn Borg, Case Keszeg, Lennon Keszeg, Braelynn Borg, and Eli Keszeg; nieces, Julie Berry Kimberly Boyd; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sib and Lizzie Mixson; wife, Beverly Jean Mixson; sister, Kathleen Mixson Hale; first wife, Rebecca Ann Sherman; and nephew, Russell Hale.

A gathering of Mr. Mixson’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Trisagion at 7:00 p.m.,  Monday, March 18, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 690 North 15th Street, Beaumont. His interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Beaumont.

    I went to work for Todd when he first opened his CPA office in Kirbyville, TX. He was a really good person to work for and he is the one who got me started on my career. I have always been and always will be grateful to him. I remember how much he loved his children. My heartfelt condolences to his family. I am very saddened at his passing. Fond memories of those times so many years ago.
