Frances “Babe” Margaret Gallagher

Frances “Babe” Margaret Gallagher, 68, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas – Beaumont. She was born on April 2, 1949, in Beaumont, to Frances May Grinnell and Wiley Grinnell, Sr.

Babe is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Patrick Gallagher, of Beaumont; son, Lee Gallagher, of Beaumont; daughter, Gina Halbert and her husband, Dr. Dean Halbert, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Garrett Halbert and Caroline Halbert; brother, Tom Grinnell, of Mission Viejo, California; sister, Reece Grinnell, of Leander, Texas; and numerous other family and a host of many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wiley Grinnell, Jr.; and sister, Lynn Grinnell Jesko.

A gathering of Mrs. Gallagher’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

The family would like to thank Dr. Halbert, Dr. Nash, and staff at the Baptist Cancer Center of Beaumont for their special care given to Frances.
