Laura Ann Guidry Montondon
Laura Ann Guidry Montondon, 38, of LaBelle, died Thursday, September 22, 2022. She was born December 8, 1983, in Port Arthur, to Phyllis and Jerry Guidry.
Laura graduated from Port Neches – Groves High School in 2002 where she was a cheerleader and an Indianette. She graduated from Lamar University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and from Lamar University in 2007 with a master’s degree in Business Administration. She was employed by Linn Energy in Houston in 2007 as an accountant and remained there until her move with Mickey back to this area in 2017.
Laura and Mickey were married March 28, 2009 at St Elizabeth Catholic Church. They were both hard workers, adventurous, loved to travel, loved dogs, loved family, loved life and most importantly, loved each other.
They were blessed in 2018 with the arrival of the love of their life, Mason Bernard Montondon. Their love for him is immeasurable. Mason was blessed to have had this time with Laura, she was his world. Her influence on him will last a lifetime. He will grow up to know what an amazing woman she was.
Laura had so many friends, family, teachers, and co-workers that have shared some thoughts about her. Such as, “she was more beautiful on the inside than she was on the outside”, “she was a highly respected, intelligent, and admired employee”, “she was Mickey’s rock”, “she was fiercely protective of her younger brother, Brent”, “she made bags for the homeless and for their dogs, kept them in her car and handed them out no matter where she was”, “she was creative and talented”, “she was the first to volunteer to do anything for anyone”, “she was the ultimate mama bear”, and “she was the most unbelievably amazing cook”.
Laura was not only loved and adored by her own family and by Mickey, but she was also loved and adored by Mickey’s entire family…what a blessing.
