Robert Wayne Langston

April 13, 1961 - September 4, 2023

Robert Wayne Langston, 62, of Winnie, died Monday, September 4, 2023. He was born April 13, 1961, to Bobby Gene Langston and Stella Annette Frazier.

He enjoyed fishing, going to the renaissance festival, and listening to country music. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother; daughters, Carolyn Moore and Desiree Langston of Lumberton; sister, Lisa Langston of Winnie; nephew, Brandon Langston; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father and his son, Cameron Langston.

A gathering of Mr. Langstonā€™s family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

    I am so sorry to hear your loss I know he was such a big wonderful part of your lives he’s really no word to say when a heart is broken pray that God will give you the peace that you need in your life following the next few days. I know you will see him again in heaven he took Jesus to be his personal savior just a few days before his death so not only is he your family he is mine as well brother in Christ and I will look forward to meeting him one day and heaven. Carolyn my love for you is strong and I pray that you will reach out to me if you need me prayers for the rest of the family.     The first time I met Robert was when his daughter Carolyn took over to his and Grandma’s place his daughter Carolyn said if Dad comes out house raising cane about u being here just get car until I get well here he came raising cane I stopped there and sir my name so nice to u and u he said Robert Carolyns dad here’s Carolyn getting nervous cause dad don’t bring strange friends around them turned shook my hand ask me drink a beer back yard and I did we talked for hours he told me out of all of Carolyns so called friends I like u best from that day forward we became fast friends a day I want forget but cherished for life somoral this is he wasn’t hard but to crack all he wanted respect and I gave it him first day I met him until then until now we remained good friends he could ears mostly about fishing drinking beer , Robert my dear ol friend I miss u and our little talks fly high now angel u earned ur wings I think if often always your friend tony) Sonya Thornhill .
