Tommy Overstreet

March 8, 1954 - February 6, 2018

Tommy Gene Overstreet, 63, of Kountze, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was born on March 8, 1954, in Keiserslautern, Germany, to Myrtis Irene Benefield and Steve Jackson Overstreet, Sr. Tommy retired from the Papermill in Evadale as a shipping clerk.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Sharon Overstreet; son, Danny Gene Overstreet and his wife, Laci, of Honey Island; brother, Steve Overstreet, Jr., of Dallas; numerous nieces and nephews; and step-mother, Mary Ann Overstreet of Kountze.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents; and his step-sister, Edna Lafferty.

A gathering of Mr. Overstreet’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island.
